Delete your GetDone account
This page explains how to delete your account in the GetDone app and the data attached to it. The app is published by Berkay Atalay, trading as "Veyroni Studios", who is the controller of your personal data. How the data is processed is described in the GetDone Privacy Policy.
1. Deleting from inside the app (fastest way)
You can delete your account yourself, without anyone's approval:
- Open the GetDone app and sign in.
- Tap the profile icon in the top right corner of the home screen (the round badge with the first two letters of your name).
- In the profile sheet, tap "Delete account".
- Read the summary of what will be deleted and what will stay, then confirm with the red "Delete my account" button.
Deletion happens immediately after you confirm and cannot be undone; there is no waiting period and no way to recover the account. The buttons appear in the language you chose in the app; the names above are the English ones.
2. If you cannot sign in: deletion by e-mail
If you removed the app, cannot reach your device or cannot sign in, write "Delete my account" to veyronistudios@gmail.com from the e-mail address registered in your account. Using "GetDone account deletion" as the subject line makes it quicker.
- The request is carried out only after we verify that it comes from the account's own e-mail address; a deletion request from any other address is not accepted.
- Your request is completed free of charge within 30 days at the latest, and the result is written to you at the same address.
- Deletion by e-mail has exactly the same result as deletion inside the app; what is deleted and what is kept is listed below.
3. What is deleted
- Your e-mail address and password hash; your open sessions.
- The record of your sign-in, sign-out and password events (the authentication event log, which holds your e-mail and IP address).
- Your settings: the app language you chose and your time zone.
- Nicknames you gave to other people and nicknames other people gave to you.
- The blocks you made and the blocks other people made of you.
- The notifications in your inbox; for phone notifications, your registered phones (including the push token) and your notification settings.
- The record of which version of the Terms of Use you accepted and when.
- Your account-restriction record and invitation acceptance records, if any; the open invitation codes you created are revoked.
- Your profile is anonymised: your display name and username are removed.
- You leave every chat and group you are still in. The rules for leaving a group apply: the pending and active tasks you created are removed, your point movements in those groups (points you earned and, if you are a task giver, points you awarded in your own point currency) are deleted immediately with no copy kept, the personal rewards you defined become invisible, and pending reward claims and proposals are closed.
4. What is kept
The following stays in the other members' history, with "Deleted member" (in the app's language) shown in place of your name; none of it can be linked back to your account:
- The messages you sent to chats, and the departure lines.
- The progress reports and notes you submitted, approval or rejection decisions, task records and outcome texts. (Photo and video evidence is currently switched off; once it is enabled, the files you upload stay in the same way, subject to the periods in section 7 of the Privacy Policy.)
- The points other members earned and the reward records.
- Your membership periods: which connection or group you joined and when you left.
- The deletion date and the anonymous account number kept in the operations log.
Apart from the evidence-file periods mentioned above, these records are not deleted after a set period: your data is kept until your account is deleted, and after that the records above stay in the other members' history without your name (Privacy Policy section 7).
Reports you made or that concern you are also kept, until one year after they are closed (including the copy of a reported message). Only Veyroni Studios as the database operator (and the contracted developer, Privacy Policy section 5) can read them.
If your account was closed permanently for breaking the Terms of Use, your e-mail address itself is deleted, but a hash of it computed with a secret key stays until the ban is lifted; until then no new account can be opened with that address. Your right to delete your account is not affected (Privacy Policy sections 2 and 7).
